Riot Games have announced that their new digital card game Legends of Runeterra will enter open beta on 24 January.
The game, which is based on the League of Legends universe, was announced during Riot’s 10th-year anniversary was widely praised by those who took part in the two closed betas.
Legends of Runeterra will not release fully until later this year but with open beta kicking off players will no longer lose any progress they make in the game.
In addition to the announcement of the open beta, Riot also revealed that players who pre-register before 20 January will get access to the game one day early.
The open beta will also introduce a friend list, challenge-a-friend game type, first boards and guardians, as well as a ranked mode.
